The easy-to-clean GemPod is sealed with a special solution surrounding the stones and a reflection bubble inside. The solution and the seal protect the crystals and stones from bacteria, as well as protecting your water from those stones that can leach unhealthy substances into the water.

It is important not to break the integrity of the seal in the bottom of the pod itself, as this will allow contamination and your pod might begin to look more like an aquarium (i.e. green or orange stuff might grow).

The glass pod does twist safely out of the bottom lid for cleaning.
